**Original Artwork – Animal, Vagetal, Mineral IV**

Created in 2018 by Sophie Kyriakopoulou

Medium: Indian ink, ink, acrylic marker on 90g Clairefontaine paper

Dimensions: 29.7x21 cm (unframed)

**About the Work and Technique employed:**

Inspired by my walks through Scotland’s lush forests with my dog, Buffy, this piece captures the essence of nature’s unpredictability. Buffy’s habit of collecting and carrying twigs over long distances piqued my curiosity. This led me to fashion my own painting tools from fallen twigs, attaching markers with strings. These unique tools result in unexpected mark-making, embracing the randomness of each interaction with the paper. This process not only brings joy but also reflects life’s lessons on the limits of our control.
